Beginning with the iconic Gator™ machines in 1992, the traditional John Deere® Work Series and Crossover UTVs have continued to serve as all-purpose workhorses for projects everywhere.

The Traditional Work Series Gator™
The Work Series UTVs offer structural strength and a stable ride and light footprint thanks to a lower center of gravity. The UTVs ensure controlled and consistent transit with a CVT and coordinated braking system and feature gas-assist shock and a deluxe cargo box with a conventional tailgate.
- HPX615E and HPX815E – Diesel and gas, four-wheel suspension, 1,300-lb towing, 1,400-lb payload, 25-mph top speed.
- TE 4x2 Electric – Quiet electric motor, 48-V system for fast acceleration and hill-climbing, zero emissions, dynamic braking with regeneration, on-board charger.
- TH 6x4 Diesel and Gas – The first-generation John Deere® Gator™, 6 wheels for turf environments, easy-dump 16.4-cubic-foot box, 20 mph top speed.
- TX 4x2 – Gator TH features with a 4-wheel configuration.
- TS 4x2 – John Deere’s basic UTV, light footprint, independent front suspension, 20 mph top speed, 900 pounds for both towing and payload.
John Deere® Crossover UTVs
The crossovers enhance all Work Series aspects with LCD screens, LED lights, a car-like dash, safety restraints, certified protective cabs and more.
The E designs are standard-level. The M range enables plug-and-play upgrades plus power steering and multiple cab and open-station configurations. The full-sized R includes a unique tan interior, premium cloth seating and a quieter cab.
Mid-sized crossover utility vehicles:
- XUV560E – Two-passenger, 13.5 hp, 4-cycle gas, 400 cc, dynamically tuned carburetor, 20 mph.
- XUV560E S4 – Four-passenger, 16 hp, 4-cycle gas, 570 cc, V-twin, dynamically tuned carburetor, 28 mph.
- XUV590E, XUV590E S4, XUV590M and XUV590M S4 – Two-passenger and four-passenger, 32 hp, 4-cycle gas, 586 cc, inline-twin, electronic fuel injection, 48 mph.
The Full-Sized Crossover UTV
The full-sized crossovers feature advanced digital displays, car-like braking, elevated ground clearance, custom shock engineering, a 1,000-pound cargo box and true on-demand 4WD.
Two- and four-seater payload capacity is 1,400 pounds with a 1,500-pound towing capacity. Three-seater payload capacity is 1,500 pounds with a 2,000-pound towing capacity.

- XUV835E and XUV835M – Three-passenger, interior redesign, 54 hp, 4-cycle gas, 812 cc, electronic fuel injection, front and rear dual A-arm suspension, 45 mph.
- XUV865E and XUV865M – Three-passenger, interior redesign, 22.8 hp, 4-cycle diesel, 854 cc, indirect injection and glow plugs, front and rear suspension, 32 mph.
- XUV835M and XUV865M Cab, HVAC and R – Factory-installed cab, enhanced cab comfort, optional heat and A/C, rollup windows, car-style seating, power steering, HVAC vents, fast defrost, three fan speeds, temperature adjust, HVAC rpm assist.
- XUV825M S4 – Four-passenger, rear seat to cargo space conversion, deluxe cargo box, 53 hp, 4-cycle gas, 812 cc, electronic fuel injection, front and rear suspension, 44 mph.
- XUV855M S4 – Four-passenger, rear seat to cargo space conversion, deluxe cargo box, 22.8 hp, 4-cycle diesel, 854 cc, indirect injection and glow plugs, front and rear suspension, 32 mph.
